History: Henry E Chutterson, born May 31, 1845 and died May 28, 1925 was the owner of this item. He was a carpenter by trade; it is possible he framed barns; informant of donor told him that spouts for wooden pumps were usually bought from a foundry by the carpenter - perhaps earlier the carpenter had to cast his own spout (?)
