Description

composition head, shoulders, and hands. Composition invented in 1877 and is a mixture of blue, sawdust, plaster of Paris, bran; white kid body and feet; body jointed by insets of kid; the arms are light being very small; the front of the body is stamped with a deer or elk and the word hair stuffed in a pale violet ink; the set-in eyes are blown glass and are blue-violet with dark blue iris and rim; the brows and lashes are painted on; the blond, wavy, shoulder-length wig (hair unidentified) has been partially destroyed by moths; wig is fastened to head through hole in top as well as being glued. Wardrobe of doll is 1969.69.1-.5
