History

This hand made oil lamp was owned by donor's father, Francois Xavier Seguin, who died July 2, 1952, at the age of 90, and has been in donor's possession since that time. Could be as old as 1875. According to Loris Russel (PM 381) this type of lamp was not invented until 1868, making this post-confederation style.
