History

From the John Prince homestead Park Farm; the construction of the house suggests early French, round dowel pegs mortised to base plate; heavy 4 x 4 stud square nails; note bricks between lathe and outside covering were at time of construction were set with mortar. John Prince was commander of the Sandwich militia in 1838 during the Battle of Windsor. This brick was from the original home construction of walls.
