History

Bertha Thomas was a prominent figure in the local prohibition era as the owner of the Edgewater Thomas Inn from circa 1920 until her death in 1955. It was a premier roadhouse during the prohibition era. After her death, Bob Klein became the new owener and later changed the name to Martini's Edgewater Hotel.
