History

ohn Curry (b. 1854, d. 1912) married Frances Arabella Stone in 1877 and they had four children. Frances' sister Alma Ann married John's brother, William George Curry in 1878. John Curry was a private banker and operated Curry Brothers Bank with his brother James. John was involved with Gordon McGregor and others to persuade Henry Ford to come to Windsor and establish Ford Motor Company of Canada. He was the first treasurer of the company. Curry Avenue is named after him.
