2x2bw+ slide; Black and white photograph of the Windsor Fire Department in front of the Windsor Armouries; on the left hand side of the photograph there is a horse and buggy, facing away from the camera, and two people are sitting in it; in the centre of the street there are two horses pulling a buggy with two men in suits sitting on top; on the right hand side of the road a number of fire trucks are parked and firemen are standing around it; there is another buggy headed away from the camera with one man sitting in it; the Armouries building is on the right hand side of the street; it is a large, impressive brick building with arched windows and a detailed stone entry; there are numerous people visible standing on the side of the street;

History

The new armouries on London Street East, now University Avenue, was opened for the 21st Regiment, Essex Fusiliers, early in 1902.
