2x2bw+ slide; Interior view of the former Union Gas Building and offices that were located on the south side of Chatham St. W., between Pelissier St. and Victoria Ave.; notice the railings on the second floor, and the grillwork for the wickets on the first floor, all manufactured by Border Cities Wire & Iron Ltd.; the office also operated as a showroom for various home appliances that they carried as part of their services; cashier and information wickets are also seen, adjacent to the appliance showroom.

History

Border Cities Wire & Iron Ltd. operated in Walkerville from 1922 through until the early 1980's creating structural steel and ornamental iron among other things.
