History

From Pond's Drug Store, started by W.A. Pond, chemist and druggist in the early 1900s. W.A Pond was practicing as early as the 1880's. He operated from the Labelle building. And later moved his store to Ouellette, Pond's Drug Store became Pond's Big V in the 1960s' and eventually changed the name to Big V drug Store (located on Ouellette until Big V was bought out in the 1990's by Shoppers Drug Mart.) This object was purchased at an antique show in Leamington Ontario.
