History

Geva Box hand-held camera; belonged to donor's mother, Mary Della Valle - probably purchased in Welland. The object was found in Mary Della Valle's house after her death while it was being cleaned in preparation for sale. Mary liked taking pictures and bought cameras. Donor remembers her mother taking pictures of her and her brother, Philip out in the snow on Lincoln Street Welland Ontario, when she was 8 years old (1945). Eventually donor's mother bought new camera and stopped using older ones. Donor says her mother started using instamatics approximately when they moved to Heller Ave. in 1947 (Welland Ontario). Made in Germany.
