History: "Windsor Jewelers, Optometrists and Opticians Bowling League: 1925-1962" Presented to Dr. D.B. Rumball captain of the 1961-1962 team In 1925 the William Rogers Trophy was given to the Windsor Jewelers Bowling League. The optometrists and opticians joined the bowling league in 1928. There was an annual Jewelers and Opticians show held in the former Prince Edward Hotel Windsor. There was a dinner followed by the presentation of prizes donated by the above companies. A plaque was placed on the base of the trophy for each winning team. The last team to win the trophy was the optometrists 1961-1962 at which time the bowling league disbanded.
