It was mounted on a tripod (Schlitten) and ferried between locations. It is also sometimes referred to as the Spandau MG08 because its pre-war production was at the government arsenal at Spandau. This was made at the Erfurt Arsenal. –water cooled (the jacket around the barrel held approx. 1 gallon of water) Original weight 137 lbs.
