History: Pearl (Allen) Mavis was the daughter of George and Hortense Allen. George Allen owned Geo. Allen Livery & Feed Stables located at 44 Pitt St. E., and was superintendant of the Windsor Jockey Club and caretaker of the Windsor Driving Park [now Jackson Park]. He also worked as a teamster and lumber sealer with his son, Lloyd C., hauling wood from Yawkey Bush. Pearl (right) appears to be in he early forties, and Edith appears to be in her late teens.
