History

This photograph was taken in the 1880s on William Scott's tennis court in his garden at the corner of Windsor Avenue and City Hall Park, where Webster Motors later stood. At that time the main pleasure for the younger crowd, in the summer, was a game of tennis on the Scott's tennis court. In the winter their greatest enjoyment was tobogganing on the John Davis toboggan slide at their home, which was later the Bellvue Hotel on the corner of Sandwich and Moy. This photo represents many of Windsor's oldest families.
