Description: Photo of a young girl sitting on a fence, with her family, outside of their log frame house and farm, possibly in Essex, Ontario; the family stands or sits on the fence or to one side or the other; the farm buildings appear new, and the log house is well-kept; one man holds the harness to a team of two horses; flowers line each side of the fence.
History: Approximately 150 glass plate negatives, including the one for this photo, were found in the wreckage of the Dr. J.W. Brien residence on Talbot St. in Essex (Ont.) by Rodger Saegert, after it was demolished in May 1959.
