Group photo of an unidentified family, in front of their well-kept home, possibly in Essex; the family is relaxed, enjoying warm weather; two sisters, possibly twins, read books sitting in chairs on the lawn, while a man reclines on the grass between them to smell a flower; one women strolls the lawn, two men stand on the porch, and a family dog watches its owners.

History

Approximately 150 glass plate negatives, including the one for this photo, were found in the wreckage of the Dr. J.W. Brien on Talbot St. in Essex (Ont.) by Rodger Saegert, after it was demolished in May 1959.
