Black and white photograph of the second Windsor City Hall; the building is a tall, four-storey brick structure; the basement is half-submerged into the ground and a wide set of stone steps leads up to the main floor; the steps have a brick railing and tall lampposts at the bottom; at the top of the steps there are two arched doors and two arched windows; there are four rectangular windows on the main floor, two on each side of the doorway; there are eight arched windows on the third floor; the centre section of the building extends toward the sidewalk slightly and the fourth floor has one arched window in this centre section; there are two or three chimneys on the roof; there is a flagpole to the right of the building and there are two lampposts and two automobiles in the foreground.

History

Originally completed in 1873 as the Central School, this building became Windsor's second City Hall in 1904. It was demolished in 1956 to make way for the current City Hall.
