Description: View of the J.W. Drake Furniture Co. at 11 Sandwich St. W., within what came to be called the Norwich Block; in front of the store sits an elaborate horse-drawn parade float advertising the store and its wares, holding a number of upholstered couches and chairs; several children stand around the float, anxious for the parade; one child sweeps the walk in front of the store; two children observe the horse - the white boy on the left rests his hand on the shoulder of the black boy on the right; the float and harness is decorated with Union Jack flags; an unidentified millinery store neighbours to the east.
