Very faded, stained, black and white photograph of George Rankin, two unidentified men and a horse; George Rankin is the man standing on the far left of the photo. "Geo. Rankin" is hand-written above his head; he is standing behind a horse, upon which a man or boy is sitting; the horse is being held by the bridle by a third man; the men and horse are standing on a grassy lawn with a building behind them; there is a large stain covering the top right quarter of the photo.

History

George Rankin was the son of Colonel Arthur Rankin. He ran, and lost, as a Liberal in the provincial elections of 1871 and 1878.
