History

The Windsor & Tecumseh Electric Railway was incorporated on December 23, 1903 to operate an eight-mile line east from Windsor to Tecumseh passing through Walkerville. On October 17, 1906 the railway was acquired by the SW&A (Sandwich, Amherstburg & Windsor Railway). On April 20, 1907 an agreement was approved between the W&T and the SW&A which allowed them to operate as one company. The new SW&A line opened on May 1, 1907.
