History

In 1872 and 1873 the Canada Southern Railroad was built in Comber and a station went up near where the railroad crossed the side road. This later became known as the Michigan Central Railroad which in turn became the New York Central and then the Penn Central. Many railway workers came from Quebec and settled in the Windsor and Essex County area.
