Black and white photograph of ten firefighters and one child with a Hand Drawn Fire Engine; the men are standing on and around a steam fire engine; the fire engine has four large wheels; the steam engine mechanics are in the centre of the engine and there is a large spool with hose at the right side; there is a small baby on the fire engine as well at the left side behind a small "1"; the engine is in front of a large brick building; two doorways (one open) and one open window are visible behind the men and truck;

History

This fire truck is thought to be one of Windsor's first steam engines. The firefighters have been identified as: (front row l-r) W. Phillips, Albert Hutton, Robert Sutton (Assistant Chief), W. Brien (back row l-r) Mark Richards (Chief), William Curtis, Charles Scadding, Rueben Purser (Engineer); Roly Port, John Hutton and N. Simpson.
