Description

Faded black and white photograph of the International Hotel, located on the southwest corner of Ouellette and Sandwich Street West (Now Riverside Drive); the hotel opened in 1873 and was torn down in 1908 to make way for the new Dominion Bank; the hotel is a large, four-storey structure with arched windows; there are a number of people standing around the perimeter of the hotel on the sidewalk; in the bottom right corner of the photograph, a horse pulling a wagon is partially visible; "International Hotel" is painted between the second and third floors of the hotel; there are advertising signs along the main floor.
