History

Mr. Lambie moved his store to this location about 1876 when he left the store in Lambie Hall. Mr. A.D. Bowlby and Mr. Charles Nobles, nephews-in-law, then entered the business which, on Mr. Lambie's death, went into A.D. Bowlby's name. A.D. Bowlby was born in September 1860 and died in 1951. He was married to Emma Charlotte Wright.
