Black and white photograph of the demolition of the Marentette Homestead, Dr. Hermann Melchoir Eberts' House, Farm Lot 89 on the north side of Riverside Drive, just east of present day Marentette Avenue; this photo is of the south face of the home; the house was likely built in the 1780s and was demolished in 1917; this photo shows the house being deconstructed; the house is a two-storey structure with three dormer windows on the second floor and two chimneys; there are two men standing on the far left of the photograph and another man standing facing the house directly in front of it; there is a fence running the length of the photograph in front of the house and buildings are visible behind and beside; there is rubble from the demolition visible at the left of the photograph; the photograph is blurred on the left side.
