green; glass wine bottle; label on the bottle reads "Claret, E. Girardot &Co./Limited grape growers and manufactureres of Canadian Wines, Sanwich, Ont."; logo of a lion and a barrel; barrel reads "E. Girardot Co./Sandwich/Ont."; has kick/punt measuring about 5cm in depth and neck with a length of 6cm; broken off cork is still in the mouth of the bottle;

History

Wine bottle from the Girardot family Wine Company. The wine bottle is most likely from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The company existed in Sandwich, Ontario. The bottle was found in a crawlspace at a house in London, Ontario (Colborne St.).
