Greek revival with small tefoil cutouts on lower edge of backslat, slip seat side chairs, urn-shaped backsplats, cabre legs. From Smith Furniture Factory. Background of Smith Family: Robert Smith, born 1793, Norwich, England. Died 1883. His son, Robert O. Smith, born 1828. His son Stephen Eldridge Smith, born Sept. 28, 1893. Santa Cruz, California. Moved from California back to Kent County. Donor, Mrs. Robinson is a great grand-daughter of Robert O. Smith.
