History

Belonged to Ambrose Gagnon (born 1835) who was grandfather of donor. Gagnon was a sailor and was injured at sea. He learned the tinsmithing trade from his father. The iron is at least 100 years old, as of now (1960's). In this area 65 years. Used in Quebec.
