Description

Rectangular white paper certificate in a black and gold plastic frame with cardboard backing; certificate has a greenish-blue (aqua) scrollwork border on all sides with a large design in each corner; upper left corner: circular gold paper sticker with raised lettering around its edge ("DETROIT MODEL BOAT/CLUB") and a propeller symbol in the middle; this sticker attaches 2 1.5cm wide grosgrain ribbons (1 navy, 1 yellow), each approx. 6cm long; in black letters, centred: "AWARD/DETROIT/MODEL POWER BOAT/[propeller symbol]/CLUB/This is to certify that/Ernest St. Antoine/has made 67.50 M.P.H., the fastest speed in class "B"/on July 5, 1947. This certificate of merit is awarded in/recognition of this achievement./Robert H. Lemp Harold G. Wilkin/Commodore Chief Timer
