India pattern flint-lock musket this type of musket was officially adopted by the British governments in 1797 and was designed after a musket which had been in use by the East India Company for a number of year… A square metal sight-block was located on top of the barrel near the muzzle to which a triangular bayonet was locked…" - from the Military Arms of Canada by the Upper Canada Historical Arms Society.
