Description

flattened spheroid; flared neck forming spout at front; handle; silver plated; rope border around base and rim, continuing along underside of lip; acanthus leaf on handle; dented, scratched, surface worn; name Tasmoo worn off; plating from side missing;

History

From the pleasure steamer "Tashmoo." Raised from the Detroit River 09/04/1936 by Captain J. Earl McQueen and his salvaging crew. The boat had been there since it hit a rock in the Sugar Island channel on the 18th of June (1936). It sank after its 1400 passengers were safely put ashore.
