Description: Small, shell-shaped beaded evening purse with clasp closure; brown cloth sewn with beige beads; metal top frame with scrolled work (flowers, etc.); gold metal linked chain handle attached to metal top; red satiny lining edged with small pink, green, blue ribbon flowers.
History: Used by Mrs. Vida (O'Gorman) Lajeunesse on her wedding day, October 7, 1929. She married Eugene Lajeunesse at Sacred Heart Church in LaSalle. Mrs. Lajeunesse was born in LaSalle on October 10, 1902. At the time of the donation (Sept, 5, 1991) she was residing at the Riverview Hospital.
