Description

Cream silk; three-quarter length; same-fabric piping trim at neckline, armhole seams, and hem; wrist-length fitted sleeves with snap closure at wrist; dropped-waist with shirred same-fabric sash sewn at left side; neckline is rounded at back, slight 'V' at front; entire garment is unlined; machine sewn.

History

Worn by Mrs. Vida (O'Gorman) Lajeunesse at her wedding to Eugene Lajeunesse, October 7, 1929, at Sacred Heart Church in LaSalle. She was born October 10, 1902 in LaSalle. At the time of the donation (Sept. 5, 1991), she was residing at Riverview Hospital.
