Oval mouth; rounded sides; angular handles; vertical fluting on each side of handles; floral pattern beading

History

Aboriginal women worked with shell beads, porcupine quills and moose hair to beautifully decorate clothing and accessories. Following contact with Europeans, women soon incorporated glass trade beads in their intricate work. This art form continues today. Maker unknown but can be attributed to an aboriginal group from the Great Lakes region.
