History: The gown belonged originally to Mrs. Pachaud, whose husband, Gaspare Pachaud, was a Member of Parliament for Essex North, 1886-1890. She was born in 1860, died in 1935. He also established "Le Progres", one of the first french newspapers in southwestern Ontario.
