Description

Two-piece dress : bodice(.01) and skirt (.02). Black silk taffeta with velvet and chiffon trim; embroidered; bodice; pouched; sleeveless; lined; waist-length; gathered and pleated; fastens over left breast; armholes trimmed with pleated ruching; applied rosettes; tasseled cord lace. Skirt : bell-shaped; small train; gathered at back; fastens on left side; three ruffles around hem.

From the estate of Dorothy Graisbery Graham (nee d'Avignon), 567 Church Street, Windsor. She was born November 4, 1897 and married Percy Crichton Graham June 4, 1927. This dress is circa 1900-1910.
