Description

pine; square wooden peg construction; notched decoration all edges on ends of bed, and 3 edges of ends of top of gearbox also around 3 lower edges of gearbox; iron nail holds bottom of clacker arm. Flat gear badly worn; ancient repair to I tooth, which is replaced by a steel pin. Bed warped and insect-damaged. Large splinter out of 1 corner of gearbox.

-given to G.F.Macdonald by Mr. and Mrs. Curtis J. Green of Birchlea, Kingsville, Ontario. A letter from Mrs. W. Leo King daughter of Mrs.C. King -Muriel G. King (Mrs. W. Leo King) notes at one time it belonged to the grandmother of the Wright girls who used to live on Sandwich st.,
