History

Made by Mary Dean, brought from England (early settlers in Norfolk County then moved to Windsor.) Given to G.F. Macdonald by Mrs. M.E. Carlisle. Mary Dean's work finished October 31, 1805. Samplers were made by young girls to practice their sewing skills
