Description

(.01) Cradle: flat rectangular wooden bottom; open wicker sides, higher at ends than in middle; nailed to each end is a triangular piece of metal which hangs from a hook attached to the frame. (.02) Frame: end pieces are metal and look like upside-down 'Ts'; joined by a horizontal 4cm wide strip of wood that is bolted to the metal parts; entire thing is painted burgundy.

History

Donor says she slept in the cradle as a baby; however, the cradle is very small and is probably a doll's cradle. Mrs. Campeau was born in Belle River. Her parents were ? and Margaret Denommy (?)
