Description

rectangular velvet dining cloth; table cover; green, gold, burgundy, some black; burgundy centre and border trimmed in gold, green and burgundy heraldic pattern; outlined with gold braid

History

Letter from donor, stated May 12, 1992, states that this gold-weave dining cloth cover is from Windsor's Moy Hall. The letter further states "These items were inherited from our Great, Great Aunt Mrs. Martha Reynolds of Windsor, Ontario, who wished that these local artifacts of our history be preserved for all to enjoy. Mrs. Reynolds indicated the Honourable Angus MacIntosh originally brought these items from his homeland, Moy Castle in Inverness, Scotland in the late 1700s." Signed Ed Meyer and Suzanne Meyer.
