Description

Rectangular; red- and black-painted tin; man on top at right side (from viewer's perspective): wooden hands and face, painted peach; painted facial features; blue fabric coat, red fabric tie; gear mechanism inside (clockwork); man swivels during length of operation; mechanism works when a penny is inserted.

History

Donor said this may be a gumball machine. The printing on the scrap metal dates to June 30, 1906; therefore, the toy must have been made later.. Said by donor to have been in Eberwein.
