Squared-off blade; rounded grip; small bird on edge of grip; blade narrows slightly

History

Information regarding the paddle given by Mr. St. Louis (donor of 60.40) Oct 3, 1961. "Paddle on loan to Hiram Walker and Sons Ltd. Given to Mr. St. Louis' father about 1900 by Paul Leduc. Left at Leduc's Point (Reedmere and Riverside) on the last voyage of Tecumseh on his way to the battle of the Thames. Another story that is associated with the paddle is that it was left by one of Pontiac's men after or before the attack on Fort Detroit.
