Description

Black and burgundy; leather gloves with fleece lining; machine sewn; fingers are divided into 3 sections: thumb, index finger, other fingers; adjustable dome-fastened strap at wrist; three rows of stitching radiate from wrist towards fingers.

History

Belonged to the donor's father, A.J. Reaume, a resident of LaSalle. He used the gloves during "dockdays" in LaSalle when he would drive in open-air cars for the rumrunners, circa 1929.
