White cotton; full-length; low rounded neckline trimmed with scalloped eyelet; short sleeves trimmed with same eyelet; side seams; wide hem, plain; below eyelet band at front neck are 6 groups of 5 tiny vertical tucks; gathered below eyelet band at back neck; French seams; hand sewn; triangular gussets at side seams at hem.

History

Belonged to Mrs. Nellie Newland (nee Baxter), wife of Samuel George Newland who was an engineer at Ford Motor Co. They lived at 1670 Grand Marais West and also at the northwest corner of Pelissier and Shepherd West (Windsor).
