Beige linen; long sleeves, slightly gathered at shoulder, cuffed with 2 buttons; front is open and fastens with 4 buttons and holes and one snap; these are covered over by a placket when fastened; beige cotton lace and beige linen large square collar; six vertical tucks run down the back from neck to hem; back bottom has white twill tape ties; machine and handsewn; front is longer than the back.

History

On tag pinned to blouse when donated: "Linen blouse - about 1904. Altered to fit size 42. Probably belonged to Mrs. A. D. Bowlby."
