Description

Light brown wooden handle with 2 steel spikes at one end; spikes bend outward at right angles to handle; red paint on spikes and part of handle; dark rings of varying width and spacing from tip of handle to the red paint.

History

Donor says this was used in ice harvesting. Rings may be adhesive deposits from a binding, or possibly the result of dirt deposits in depressions left by turning the tool.
