Description

Rectangular, almost square; silver; incised scroll and foliate pattern; hinged lid opens by pushing a tab at centre front; two black fabric straps inside, one on each side of the case, each attached at centre and outside edge through metal loops; engraved initials at centre front (see Marks); bottom has a slight concave curve.

History

Belonged to Dr. Henry Raymond Casgrain, jail surgeon from Sandwich, c. 1906.
