Description

Rectangular; silver; pressed into the shape of 3 cigars; incised scroll and foliate pattern; hinged lid opens by pushing a tab at centre front; gold wash inside; a gold-coloured fabric strap is attached at both ends to the centre of the case through 2 metal loops; engraved initials on back (see Marks).

History

Belonged to Dr. Henry Raymond Casgrain (HRC), who was the jail surgeon from Sandwich.
