Description

Rectangular with sloping shoulders; splint; plain weave; open at top; wide vertical bands, narrow and wide horizontal bands; tan, blue, and orange.

History

According to donor, the basket was bought c.1962 near Ottawa Street from a lady who said her mother had owned it (mother born c. 1878) and said it had always been in her mother's family.
