Description

Ceramic lusterware; copper-coloured glaze on outside and bottom, white glaze on inside; curved handle; scalloped edge along top; round white clock painted on one side: purple hands at 18 minutes after 8 o'clock, purple Roman numerals and markings; on other side is a scene painted on a white round area; depicts 2 Oriental people near a bridge (one holding a parasol), a bird, and some foliage; done in green, blue, purple, yellow, brown; oval base.

Given to donor by a Mrs. Kohlen of Walkerville lived next door to the Whites
